The fourth meeting of the RIS COMEX Steering Committee was hosted in the premises of the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co.) on June 27-28, 2018 in the building of the RIS Centre in Ruse. The main agenda points were the presentation and approval of important intermediate project results and the related milestones. In that respect, the definitions of all Level 1 (Fairway Information Services for Route Planning), Level 2a (Traffic Information Services for Voyage Plannig and Traffic Management) and Level 3 (Vessel Information Services for Logistics) Corridor Services were approved. Furthermore, the architecture concept proposing a central solution for the realisation of the Corridor Services was also accepted and the next steps were discussed and agreed. The Flemish VISURIS system was presented and approved as suitable existing solution. The important next steps are to investigate the frameworks for the implementation of the approved Corridor Services in the defined architecture within Activity 3 of RIS COMEX that will be officially kicked-off in September 2018.
